Ender’s Product Development Strategy

Product Development Strategy

Ender will be the source of truth for all Real Estate needs. Creating this platform leads to new businesses that address unmet customer needs while massively reducing Real Estate operational costs and increasing revenue. This leads to increasing profitability for owners.

Building a platform requires developing a broad range of products and features. When planning how to deliver these, we think of product development in four stages.

Functional

The most basic features required to support the business need. In achieving this, little thought has been given to user experience. The goal of these projects is to quickly introduce tools that support business operations. The resulting functionality requires training, and while most of the use cases can be met by the basic tools, it is often complex to achieve this work and may require operational support and even Mechanical Turk.

Efficient

All critical use cases are supported, and initial considerations towards user experience have been made. The resulting product is reasonably intuitive and efficiently solves the problems. The project experience is enjoyable, but users still see areas of improvement that could make their lives easier.

Best in Class

Users surveying other solutions in the market note that Ender’s experience is unmatched by competitors. Users feel the product is feature-rich, intuitive to use, efficient, and covers all of their needs. If their leaders wanted to stop using Ender, the everyday user would fight against this change because this aspect of the product makes their life so much easier.

Best Imaginable

With current technology, there is no better way one could imagine a given business need being met. If human interactions are required, the resulting experience is highly automated and radically beyond what long-time industry experts dared to dream of. The feature’s existence makes a material impact on the profitability of the user’s business such that it is challenging for them to consider leaving Ender because they would lose access to this capability.

Onward

In building toward these goals, we ruthlessly prioritize resources, deeply consider how tradeoffs affect the customer experience or business expansion, and thoughtfully manage debt. As projects are decided upon, they move through Ender’s Product Development Process.
